The UNIGINE Company Joined the Top Russian IT-Startups

UNIGINE takes part in a final of the Global Pitch Russia contest along with other 22 Russian companies. It is designed to bridge the gap between the best Russian IT startups and the Silicon Valley VC community.

These startups have already made significant business gains in their initial markets, with this event marking an opportunity for US market introduction and connection with leading investors. The Global Pitch Russia platform was established in 2017 with the support of Sberbank, the FortRoss Ventures investment fund and the Internet Initiatives Development Fund.

The group of experts from Sberbank, the FortRoss Ventures investment fund selected 23 fast-growing Russia’s best tech startups, chosen from a competition involving 260 applicants. All participants belong to key industries: VR/AR, Fintech, eHealth, Big Data, AI, IoT, Robotics. The UNIGINE company joined the ranks of finalists.

On June, Fort Ross Ventures, IIDF and GSV Labs will host 23 of the most promising technology ventures from Russia, showcasing their business ideas.

"We have been working with foreign partners since the foundation of the company. Participation in Global Pitch is not a way to enter foreign markets for us. First of all, the international expertise from leading investors and the opportunity to acquire new partners is valuable. Our company is ready for the phase of rapid growth, so we consider attracting investments as one of the tools for this”, — UNIGINE’s CEO Denis Shergin said.

Participation in the contest was confirmed by more than 20 Silicon Valley investors.

According to the head of the US accelerator GSVlabs Megan Jordan, finalists of Global Pitch Russia have passed several qualifying stages and already proved their ability to bring value to business and consumers in other countries.
